The KO Factor: Why First Impressions Make or Break Disruptive Defense Technologies

First impressions matter—especially when failure means your game-changing tech joins the graveyard of "promising" capabilities that never transitioned. This panel dissects what separates successes from spectacular flameouts in defense innovation. Here’s the twist: that first impression usually happens months before your demo—in a contracting officer’s office. The right KO can guide you through procurement minefields. The wrong one can shut you down before anyone sees your tech. Great ideas often fail not on merit, but on avoidable contracting missteps—like choosing the wrong acquisition path or missing compliance details. Join us to learn what really makes or breaks your shot at transforming military operations. Please note: Adding this session to your agenda does not guarantee admission. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first serve basis until room capacity is reached.
