Brendan Karp is the Co-founder and CEO of Obviant, a startup building a data source of truth for defense acquisition. By ingesting and unifying data from thousands of sources—such as program documents, defense budget justification books, and Congressional reports—Obviant delivers a comprehensive and coherent picture of acquisition, contracting, and budgeting information across the DoD. Obviant empowers companies, investors, and government leaders to make more informed decisions across the defense sector. Prior to founding Obviant, Brendan was a founding team member at TechNexus Venture Collaborative, where he built innovation and early-stage investment programs bridging Fortune 1000 companies, federal agencies, and startups. This experience shaped his understanding of the inefficiencies and fragmentation facing government mission sets—which led him to start Obviant.
