George Ploss

George Ploss is a distinguished technology executive and Marine Corps veteran who currently serves as Senior Director of Startups & Ventures for Oracle Defense Ecosystem. In this role, he leads strategic initiatives to cultivate and support defense-focused startups and venture partnerships, leveraging Oracle's comprehensive technology platform to drive innovation in the defense sector. Before joining Oracle, George built a strong foundation in financial services, working as a Derivatives and Commodities analyst at JP Morgan Securities and as a senior analyst at CME Group. His analytical expertise and market knowledge provided valuable insights that he later applied to technology consulting and startup evaluation. George began his technology career at Wolfram Research as part of their Web Research and Development Group, where he gained early exposure to cutting-edge computational technologies. Military Service George proudly served nine years in the Marine Corps Reserves, demonstrating his commitment to service and leadership. His final duty station was with the 3rd Civil Affairs Group at Great Lakes Naval Station, where he served as Ground Operations Training Chief.
