Michael Anderson

Michael is a dynamic leader with a passion for bringing together diverse teams that can deliver novel ideas and innovations. His decade plus of experience in finance and strategy for maritime as well as aerospace, automotive, rail, and other transportation sectors has equipped him with a unique ability to tackle challenges requiring cross-industry collaboration and insight. Michael’s career has included both consulting and in-house positions at diversified corporations, often in fast-paced roles working directly alongside C-suite leadership. Seamlessly integrating distinct industries – in this case, one of the oldest forms of transportation in maritime combined with one of the newest in rocketry – requires an expansive and open-minded perspective. As Seagate Space’s Chief Executive Officer, Michael is responsible for bridging these worlds and setting the course of the company’s ambitious vision to become the maritime partner for the space industry. His career across multiple sectors and working extensively with leadership ranging from Fortune 500 companies to large public agencies has prepared him for this challenge. Michael is a CFA Charterholder and has completed graduate coursework in space operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds degrees in economics from the University of Miami (B.A.) and Johns Hopkins University (M.S.).
